Your insurance company and reimbursement issues...
PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ARE INSURED BY ONE OF THE MEDICARE "ADVANTAGE" PLANS, WE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY HELPLESS TO SCHEDULE YOU FOR AN APPOINTMENT UNTIL AND UNLESS YOUR PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR (PCP), AND NOT JUST THE PHYSICIAN WHO MAY HAVE DIRECTLY REFERRED YOU TO DR. SCHNEIDERS SUBMITS A SEPARATE REFERRAL TO YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY FOR DR. SCHNEIDERS' CARE AND APPOINTMENT WITH YOU!
Before you set an appointment with Dr. Schneiders, his practice manager, Rhea, will contact your insurance company to ensure that to the extent possible, we both understand that your services with Dr. Schneiders are covered benefits, and that you know as closely as we do what the likely reimbursement rate and copays are likely to be.
However, neither Dr. Schneiders nor his practice manager and nurse, Rhea has the contractual relationship with your insurer that you do, and no one in our office will ever be in a position to absolutely guarantee what your policy coverage or reimbursement will actually turn out to be. Of course, we will do our best to give you the most accurate information as we are provided and understand it.
IF YOU ARE WISHING DR. SCHNEIDERS TO ADDRESS ANY DISABILITY STATUS ISSUES FOR YOU AND/OR YOUR REFERRING DOCTOR, IT IS CRUCIAL YOU LET RHEA KNOW THIS PRIOR TO SCHEDULING YOUR EVALUATION AND APPOINTMENT TIME. Insurers often require more testing be done for disability purposes than may be necessary for clinical (that is, doctor-to-doctor diagnostic or treatment) purposes.
Dr. Schneiders is an in-network provider for many (though not all) insurance companies, and is a Medicare provider. He regrets that he is no longer able to see patients whose coverage is limited to the Colorado State Medicaid program.
